INTA SYSTEM

NANOTECHNOLOGIES AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FOR BIOMOLECULAR ANALYSISI

INTA SYSTEMS

is the first deep-tech spin-off from the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa (SNS) and the Nanoscience Institute of the Italian National Research Council (CNR-NANO). Situated within the NEST Laboratory in Pisa, a leading research center specializing in nanoscience and nanotechnology, INTA is at the forefront of innovation in fluid analysis.

THE COMPANY

is dedicated to the development and production of state-of-the-art lab-on-chip devices that are both ultra-sensitive and portable. These devices are designed for the rapid treatment and analysis of biological and non-biological fluids. Leveraging expertise in physics, nanotechnology, material science, and biomolecule conjugation, INTA integrates artificial intelligence-based data analysis to offer solutions across multiple sectors including biomedicine, security, Industry 4.0, and food analysis.

NanoAnalyzer

INTA’s first product, NanoAnalyzer, is a groundbreaking lab-on-a-chip device that offers point-of-care diagnostic capabilities. Developed in collaboration with the NEST Laboratory of the University of Pisa and the National Research Council, NanoAnalyzer is specifically designed for the fast, affordable, and accurate identification of traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) through blood analysis. Utilizing just a small droplet of blood, the device can detect a range of biomarkers associated with TBI and process this data using machine-learning techniques. The underlying technology for NanoAnalyzer is based on nano-acoustics, a versatile approach that allows for the molecular analysis of various bio-analytes, including viruses and bacteria.

NanoAnalyzer’s portability and ease of use make it an invaluable tool not only in emergency situations but also in regions with limited access to advanced imaging technologies like computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This makes it a potentially life-saving device in both developed and third-world countries.
